Meet Abigail.

Meet Abigail, a four-year-old with a rare disease that has brought unique challenges into her young life. Despite facing Stage 2 Chronic Kidney Disease and spinal malformations, Abigail's spirit remains unbroken. Her wheelchair is her trusted companion for mobility, yet when it's playtime, she joyfully sits up on the floor to engage with her toys. Abigail's infectious laughter and playful demeanor light up every room she enters, especially when she's spinning around in her wheelchair. 

Coastal Kids has been a beacon of support for Abigail and her family, providing invaluable shift care and palliative services. Monthly visits from the social worker on their palliative care team ensure that Abigail’s needs and those of her whole family are being met. Through their compassionate assistance, Abigail's parents receive the support they need to care for their beloved daughter, ensuring she continues to thrive.
