Our Mission

Meeting the unique needs of medically fragile children in the comfort of their home.

Children with serious or life-limiting illness qualify for specialized medical care and family support services in the comfort of home. Palliative care provides relief from pain and symptoms for pediatric patients while assisting parents to address the emotional impacts of caring for a child with complex health needs. The goal is to improve the quality of life for the whole family.

Caring for a child with complex medical needs can be strenuous and time-consuming. For many families, balancing the high demands of caring for their child, with work, and the needs of their other family members can become overwhelming. Coastal Kids Home Care shift nurses are available to help through offering in-home RN, LVN or CNA level care in shifts of 3-8 hours.

Children (ages 0-21) with medical needs requiring nursing or therapy services may benefit from home healthcare. With a referral and physicians order, our pediatric nurses travel directly to your home to offer skilled services including blood draws, infusions, wound care, and medication administration. Physical and Occupational Therapy supports children to develop the strength and coordination to handle daily tasks independently.

At Coastal Kids Home Care, our counseling team believes that mental health plays a critical role in the overall well-being of children. We coordinate closely with physicians, parents and children to develop individualized goals of care. Together we identify the type of therapy most appropriate for your child’s situation and work in partnership with you to respond to their needs.
